The action was fast and furious last week in High Stakes online poker. Gus Hansen’s upswing came to an abrupt end and Tom “durrrr” Dwan was able to recoup some of that $2 million loss from last week. Also coming back from the dead was Luke “_FullFlush1_” Schwartz.

With their latest software update, Full Tilt has added some new NLHE and PLO tables featuring $100 antes at the $300/600 level and $70 antes at the $200/400 level. The biggest action online has centered around the $500/1,000 HA and PLO games, but this new structure has already drew the curiosity of many of the high-stakes regulars.

This week, Luke “_FullFlush1_” Schwartz had to put his money where his mouth is. Shortly after publicly calling Tom “durrrr” Dwan and Di “Urindanger” Dang “gay” and “geeks” in an on-camera interview with PokerNews, Schwartz popped back up on the high-stakes tables at Bovada Poker.

Schwartz hauled in over $1 million in profits on Full Tilt earlier in the year, but had reportedly cashed out. This week, however, he was back and booked some solid sessions at $200/400 heads-up NLHE against Dwan, Dang, and “martonas” on Wednesday night, earning about $315,000. After one hand where Durrr sucked out in a 3b pot with 97o vs AA flopping a straight and getting it all-in on a safe turn – Schwartz was to turn on his usual ‘charm’ in the chat box. Durrr was only to issue him with the Durrr challenge in reply, doubting that Schwartz could even post the $500k needed to play.

After a massive upswing that saw him win $3 million during an eight-day period, Gus Hansen was to feel a little negative variance with a $863,000 loss this week. Hansen lost most of his winnings at heads-up $500/1,000 PLO. Hansen’s ‘epic fail’ session came as he dropped over $1 million to Tom “durrrr” Dwan in a multi-table HU match that saw numerous pots over $200,000.

The biggest pot was to come in the following hand. Hansen opened for $3,000 from the button. Dwan 3bet to $9,000 and Hansen 4bet to $27,000. Dwan called and then checked a KdTs8d flop. Hansen bet $54,000 and Dwan shoved $122,683. Hansen made the call, having him slightly covered. Dwan’s AsKsQd4h for top pair needed some help from the poker gods. Hansen had an overpair and nut flush draw with AdAc9c5d. Unfortunately Gus was doomswitched as the turn bricked with 7c, but the river brought 4c to give Dwan kings up, scooping the $299,365 pot.

Tom Dwan managed to take over 400k from Ilari “Ziigmund” Sahamies in a 1 hour 30 minute heads-up $500/1,000 PLO session this week.

In the biggest hand of the night Dwan was sitting $325,391 deep at the start of the hand while Ilari Sahamies’ stack stood at $221,500. Dwan opened for $3,000 holding QcJd8c6d and Sahamies 3bet to $9,000 with 6c5d3d2s. Dwan tanked and 4bet to $27,000. Sahamies called and the flop came QdTc7d to give him a small flush draw. Dwan hit top pair, a straight draw, and a higher flush draw. Sahamies checked to Dwan, who bet $37,300, Sahamies called. The turn brought the 2c, Sahamies making bottom pair and Dwan picking up a second flush draw in clubs. Sahamies checked again and Dwan bet a hefty $128,400. Sahamies made the call, leaving himself only $28,900 behind. The river was the 8d completing flushes for both players, with Dwan’s the higher of the two. Sahamies shoved what remained of his stack and Dwan quickly called, his Q-J-8-7-6 high flush besting Sahamies’ Q-8-7-5-3 high flush to take down the $443,000 pot.
