Only 24 players are left of the initial record-setting 1529 hopefuls that showed up in Atlantis Resort and Casino on Paradise Island in the Bahamas. Ryan ‘g0lfa’ D’Angelo is no stranger to this blog, and once again he makes an appearance, this time as the overwhelming Top Chip with 24 to go in the 2010 PCA.
Closely following him are PokerStars Pro and EPT Founder John Duthie, and PCA 2010 Day 1 Chip Leader Wayne Bentley in 2nd and 3rd, respectively.
Other notables at the start of this day are:
- Barry Shulman, Jeff Shulman’s pops, at 5th
- Robert Mizrachi, brother of Michael “The Grinder” Mizrachi, 10th in chips
- Jeff Madsen, seemingly taking a break from rapping to play some serious poker, is in 18th place.

Everybody still remaining in the field is guaranteed to take home at least $75,000, which is definitely not bad at all for just playing cards in a tropical paradise! Just twenty more eliminations to go and we will be entering into 7 figure payday territory. The last remaining lady, Amanda Baker, was eliminated in 38th position, so it’s a guys only thing now.
FTR wishes best of luck to each and every one of the remaining players, and may the best man win!
