The Main Event is projected to have over 1,000 entries, and a first place prize of at least $2 million. There will be at least 20 Team Pokerstars Pros attending the series, as well as a number of famous professional players.

The PCA began in 2004 as a WPT event aboard a cruise ship as it traveled the Caribbean. Gus Hansen was the lucky winner that year, besting a field of 221 players for a first prize of $455,780. Daniel Negreanu also made the final table, and went on the finish in 3rd place. The PCA is one of the most popular annual live poker events that PokerStars hosts for its players. PokerStars offers many satellites at all buy in levels to give even more players a chance to play poker in paradise.

When not playing poker, there is plenty to do at the Atlantis Resort and Casino. Atlantis Paradise Island opened in 1998 and is situated on its own island. At the resort there are plenty of sandy beaches, water parks, golf courses and a bustling night life. For the highest of high rollers, there’s one of the most expensive hotel suites in the world. Known as “The Bridge Suite;” it costs approximately $25,000 USD per night. While most of us won’t be able to attend the PCA this year, let alone the Bridge Suite, the next best thing is watching live final table action, right here on FTR!
