Nearly 5,500 of poker’s best registered for FTOPS XVIII Event 32. With Super Stacks and shorthanded tables there was plenty of room to make moves. Whether it was triple barreling with air or 7-bet shoving 25os, the format left a lot of room to maneuver. The fact players received bounties for eliminating their opponents was icing on the cake.

Sure enough, the nature of the tournament attracted some of the top Full Tilt Red Pros. Notable names included Jared Hamby, known as TheWacoKidd, Ryan Daut, WSOP Bracelet Winner Scott Fischman, and Lee Watkinson. Of the 61 Full Tilt Pros who entered, only 5 managed to make it in the money.

Roy Winston and Roberto ‘R Romanello’ Romanello both snuck into the cash and then made prompt exits. Winston is an M.D. with a WPT Title under his belt and Romanellp is an up and coming players from Wales. Making it nearly to the final 100 were WPT Manadalay Bay Champion Shawn Buchanan and 66 year-old Steve Brecher. Brecher also captured a WPT title in 2009 when he bested Kathy Liebert heads up.

The man who went the deepest was none other than Andrew “luckychewy” Lichtenberger, one of the stars of G4’s 2 Month 1 Million. Lichtenberger is an accomplished cash game player who made a deep run in the WSOP Main Event in 2009 which netted him over $500,000. The highlight of his online poker tournament ventures came when he took down a PokerStars SCOOP event to the tune of $172,000. His 66th place finish in Event #32 was worth a little over $1,600.

If a member of Team Full Tilt didn’t win that means the title probably went to a poker enthusiast like yourself. When it was all said and done pixie183, who was playing $26 tournaments earlier in the month, was crowned champion. Hailing from the UK, pixie183 collected nearly $210,000 for his impressive performance.

Runner-up MrSoprano8 is a solid tournament player and earned himself a six-figure payday of $128,000. They didn’t let him win, but LeMeWinPlz finished in third place and won himself almost $90,000.

Congratulations to all the players who participated in FTOPS XVIII!
