LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM—(Marketwire – May 17, 2010) The professional poker team of Titan Poker will be the target of poker players competing in the $5.1 Million Guaranteed European Championship of Online Poker (ECOOP VI), being staged this month at the leading online poker room in Europe.
Team Titan, Titan Poker’s recently announced seven-man line-up of sponsored players, will participate in the ECOOP VI tournaments with special Team Titan Bounty prizes available to any player who manages to eliminate them from the competition.
Canadian poker star Sorel Mizzi, who serves as the team’s captain, will participate in the opening ECOOP VI event, a $250,000 Guaranteed Prize Texas No Limit Hold’em Freezeout to be staged on May 24. Mizzi, who has been playing at Titan Poker for a few years and who has raked in more than $2.5 million in poker events around the world, will have a $5,000 bounty prize on his head in this much-anticipated tournament.
Fellow Team Titan members Jonas Klausen, Samuel Trickett, Yann Brosolo, Marvin Rettenmaier, Joël Benzinou, and Florian Desgouttes will each have a $1,000 Bounty Prize on his head in six other ECOOP VI tournaments, as part of the 14-night series.
The ECOOP VI tournament series offers a wide variety of poker games, including Texas No Limit Hold’em, Limit Hold’em, 7 Card Stud, Pot Limit Omaha and Omaha Hi/Lo. For the first time a Quadric event will be staged, where players compete at four simultaneous tournaments for a $100,000 prize pool.
