The Caribbean nation of Haiti has suffered an earthquake that measured a 7.0 on the Richter scale. Tens of thousands of people are likely dead and many others are injured. Homes are destroyed and lives have been ruined.

Citizens of the world are lending a hand in helping these grief-stricken people. The poker community is no exception. PokerStars, Full Tilt, and Cake Poker have offered to match 100 percent of all players’ donations through their websites.

PokerStars will allow players to donate privately by transferring funds to “Haiti Fund.” Additionally, dummy tournaments (no tournament is actually played) have been set-up where players may donate from $1 to $1,000. Their names will appear in the registered list and will be recognized as donors. These dummy tourneys can be found under the Tourney-Special tab.

Full Tilt Poker has also set up an account “Aid for Haiti” where players can donate privately by transferring funds. Players may register for dummy tournaments and donate anywhere from $1 to $500 to aid Haiti. Their names will also appear in the registered list to be recognized as donors to Haiti. These dummy tourneys are under the Tournament tab for Sunday at 18:00 ET.

Last, but certainly not least, Cake Poker has set-up dummy tournaments for $5, $25, or $100.

All funds will be sent directly to the American Red Cross. Again, all three sites have agreed to match any player’s donation by 100 percent.

Please, as a community of poker players and human beings, let’s do our part to help a grieving country get back on their feet. No donation is too small. Visit your favorite site today and donate!
