The top ten of the PokerStars monthly leaderboard changed almost completely over the past week, with only one person from last week remaining in the top ten. baneris held onto the first place spot from last week and with 5968.67 chips, remains over 750 points ahead of the closest contender. New to the second place position was ob_1_cannoli, who moved up over 30 places since last week and now sits nearly 500 points ahead of the third ranked player. That third ranked player is THE_ALPACA who took down the Sunday Million on the weekend for over $200k. That win alone launched him out of nowhere on the leaderboard into third place.
BiffyClyro2, who sat outside the top 100 a week ago also had a great week and moved into fourth place just behind THE_ALPACA. 1$ickDisea$E picked up over 3000 chips over the last seven days and now sits comfortably in fifth place, ready to make a move. Meanwhile, burns1986 jumped ten places during the week and is in sixth place right behind 1$ickDisea$E.
The seventh to tenth places this week are hotly contested, with less than 100 chips separating the four players. In seventh is ZZSER who is yet another player to make a huge move over the week, while Dany1984 sits just 15 points behind in eight. In ninth place this week, just four points being Dany1984 is B3rgmann, while RunniN-Scare rounds out the top ten.
While fourth to tenth place is still a tight race, somebody will have to make a move over the next week to stop baneris from running away with it. Check back next week to see if anybody can cut the lead close, or if it will continue to grow as the month nears its end.
