We’re looking at just nine days until a new set of top ten MTT winners will be announced on PokerStars for the month of April. While time is nearing the end, these players still have a shot to pick up some slack and climb the ranks before the month’s end. By next week’s analysis these great MTT players will definitely be feeling the crunch with only two days to climb out of any holes they may have dug. This PokerStars leaderboard has brought a lot of excitement and juicy action to discuss, and when these players take home a win in nine days they can find comfort in knowing it’s no April Fools trickery.

FlopTurnRiver keeps track of the PokerStars Leaderboard results daily and keeps them archived on the PokerStars network page which can be found here: Leaderboard-Calendar. Simply scroll down to the leaderboard section and select whichever day you feel like viewing. It’s a great way to see how players are progressing as time goes on.

Still holding strong with a slim 400 count chip lead, ImaLuckSac is occupying 1st place with pride. For the past twelve days ImaLuckSac has dominated this 1st place position. Close on his tail though is USCphildo, a well respected and accomplished professional poker player. USCphildo has enjoyed many big wins over his short career playing poker and being that he’s only 23 years old, more good things are bound to come his way. Only furthering the level of respect he truly deserves, USCphildo has held top ten positions on both Full Tilt and Pokerstars MTT leaderboards simultaneously. Last week phildo sat in 10th place, much lower than his current 2nd place position. Having the ability to climb to 2nd place after being more than halfway into the month is an accomplishment in itself and shows that he has what it takes to mark this down as a win come April 30th. If there’s one person ImaLuckSac should be worrying about at this point, it’s USCphildo. Good luck to them both in these final days in April.

Think we got this leaderboard all figured out? Not so fast… chas031 popped up seemingly out of nowhere, rising to 3rd place from well below the depths of the 100 recorded places. It’s hard to say what position he held last week, let alone if he’s played at all up to this point. But what we do know is that he managed to climb at the very least 98 positions for a nice 3rd place hot spot. Did chas score a gigantic MTT win for a lucky rise in the ranks, or is he playing methodically, armed with impressive skill that will only take him further to the top? Time will tell and we’ll be here every step of the way. Similar to chas031, HittinChills rose to 4th place after having not been anywhere in the leaderboard last week. This is truly a month of big gains.

RevenX slacked his way to 5th place after having spent a comfortable spell in 2nd place last week. At the rate his competitors are going he’ll be out of the picture in no time unless he picks up his game and fights for a top ten position with all he’s got. bparis is a solid player indeed. Not only is he sitting fabulous in 6th place overall right now on the PokerStars MTT leaderboard, but he’s held strong positions in both the Full Tilt SNG and MTT leaderboards. In January bparis secured a 5th place overall win on the Full Tilt MTT leaderboard which is nothing short of impressive. bparis is definitely another player ImaLuckSac needs to keep an eye on over the next few days.

pokerfun4321 and shaundeeb have been hovering around the same vicinity over the past couple weeks and it doesn’t seem like they’re very concerned about moving up in the ranks at all. If they’re content with being in the lower half of the top ten throughout the whole month that’s fine as it’s still quite an accomplishment on the PokerStars leaderboard. wegotBG has dropped for the 2nd week in a row to a low 10th place overall. Two weeks ago wegotBG held 1st place. He’s been slipping ever since.

In short, you simply must check back next week to see how this action unfolds. Despite ImaLuckSac’s excellent performance the past week and a half, I’ll put my money on USCphildo. Whatever the case, we’ll be here to find out!
