Sunday, March 11 2012 will mark the 6th anniversary of the ever-popular PokerStars Sunday Million tournament. To mark this special occasion, PokerStars is bumping the guaranteed prize pool to an extraordinary $6,000,000! At least $1 million will be awarded for the top prize.
The PokerStars Sunday Million tournament ran for the first time on March 11, 2006. In the past 6 years it has had a total of more than 2.1 million entries and paid out over $440 million in prize money.
Satellites to this landmark event will be running all this week, from as little as $1. A special $10+1 satellite tournament with 1,000 seats guaranteed will also run shortly before the start of this this grand $6M guaranteed event. The special satellite starts at 13:45pm ET while the Sunday Million starts at 14:30pm ET. At the conclusion of the satellite, winning players will automatically be registered and seated in the Sunday Million tournament. Super satellites to the special 1,000+ seat satellite will be running every hour on the hour throughout the week, with a buyin of just $1.
