PokerStars has gone a bit unconventional with their latest tournament series idea. The Turbo Championship of Online Poker, or TCOOP, is strictly for tournament players who like fast action. The tournament series has a guaranteed prize pool of $10,000,000 to be given out over 50 events. The tournament will start on January 19th and culminate on January 29th. Buy-ins range from $5.50 to $2,100. Players can win a free $22 buy-in to any TCOOP tournament with a qualifying reload. The big event of the TCOOP is the $1,500,000 guaranteed Main Event. This tournament series will certainly be an exciting one to follow.
As usual with any PokerStars tournament series, this tournament series is sure to be huge. Of course, No Limit Hold’em will be the main attraction at the tables. However, players can play different formats of Hold’em as well as games such as pot-limit draw, pot-limit Omaha, and Triple Draw. With buy-ins from $5.50 to $2,100, there are events for just about everyone. PokerStars players can qualify for the $22 buy-in events by reloading their PokerStars account.
