The Asia Poker League (APL) is PokerStars’ latest venture into the ever-expanding Asian poker market. The league gives players a chance to play daily tournaments, exclusive to the APL, against other regional opponents. The APL will distribute cash prizes and maintain a points system to rank players’ skill. Play is either free or extremely cheap, ensuring large playing fields. At the end of each week, the highest scoring players take a cut of a $500 cash prize pool.
Players earn points by playing in any APL tournament. Awards can include a free seat to the next APL tournament of your choice, when playing any APL Shootout Sit & Go qualifier. Players can enter any qualifier Monday through Friday, 7:00-15:00 ET. Free tournament seats must be redeemed within 7 days of winning.
One of the strongest draws are the APL buy-ins. Tournaments run Monday through Friday at 9:00 ET for a buy-in of just $0.10. Players will earn points at all these tournaments, and earn a point just for buying in. Players will earn points for the following places:
1st place: 100 points
2nd: 90
3rd: 80
4th: 70
5th: 60
6th: 50
7th: 45
8ht: 40
9th: 35
10-19: 30
20-29: 25
30-49: 20
50-69: 15
70-99: 10
Any other money finish: 5

At the end of every week, the following pay-outs will be made:

6: $25
7: $20
8: $15
9: $10
10-25: $5
26-40: $4
41-50: $3
51-60: $2
61-100: $1
