Great news for American players on PokerStars: withdrawals are now available! The wait is over for American players who have been waiting an excruciating eleven days to have the money in their PokerStars account safely in their bank account.

PokerStars representative Steve Day announced that PokerStars would begin processing cashouts today. Players that open their PokerStars cashier will notice the “Cash Out” button is now there with three options for cashing out (check, bank transfer, and bank wire). Checks will be processed at a maximum of $2,500, direct bank transfer at a maximum of $50,000, and wire transfer at a minimum of $50,000. Direct bank transfers will require a routing number, bank account number, and a checking or savings account. PokerStars has stated that processing may take 72 hours and the money should appear in the player’s bank accounts within five business days after the request is made.

This is huge news for the poker playing community. PokerStars has proven itself and worked extremely hard to get poker players their money back. Full Tilt Poker has not released a statement yet; poker players with money on Full Tilt Poker are still unable to make withdrawals. The Cereus Network has retained Blank Rome LLP as counsel for the criminal complaints filed against them on April 15th. They have stated that their top priority is clearing the balances of its players in the United States. There hasn’t been any word from them since then.
