There have been tons of changes made at PokerStars in their most recent software update. The biggest name in online poker continues to show their dedication to being on the cutting edge in regards to online poker play. Most of the updates were small changes but they make playing at PokerStars a bit easier.

The lobby’s look has undergone some changes in the way it is presented. Firstly, PokerStars has changed the main font to an easier to read font. Waitlisted cash tables are now highlighted in blue, bold, and italics. Similarly, cash tables that players are seated in will now be highlighted in red, bold, and italics. Any tournament that a player is registered for will show the “State” column in red, bold, and italics.

Multi-tablers are rejoicing now that PokerStars has made it easier to find tables of a certain type. When players highlight a full table, a “Find Seat” button can now be found where the “Seat Me” button usually would be. Click the button and PokerStars will find an empty seat of the same exact table type. Players will also be able to press Ctrl + S to get the same result. Pressing Ctrl + S multiple times will allow players to multi-table with ease.

There are other fixes that PokerStars has supplied with this latest update. They’ve added a master volume slider for all PokerStars sound as well as individual sliders for each sound. These can be accessed under “Option” > “Sound Settings…” Heads-up tournaments will now feature brackets that will be similar to playoff brackets of many major sports. Brackets will only be available after a tournament is down to 64 players or less. A new mixed game combining No Limit Hold’em and Pot Limit Omaha will slowly begin to appear during the course of December so keep an eye out for them!

Nothing major was updated on the PokerStars software but all the minor tweaks sure look great in the lobby. Additionally, getting play started as a multi-tabler is now exponentially easier. Stay updated with FlopTurnRiver as we summarize any other changes to any of the major poker rooms. Additionally, FlopTurnRiver will be covering any changes to PokerStars’ VIP system; details should be released later in December.
