The Spring Championship of Online Poker 2011 has been exciting thus far. Events 12, 13, and 15 were certainly no exception. These events, as with all SCOOP events, were played in three tiers: low, medium, and high. This gave all players of any sized bankroll a chance to win a nice payout given a respectable finish.
Knockout tournaments are always among the most exciting of any tournament series. SCOOP Event 12 was a knockout tournament offering players bounties for knocking out fellow participants. The low edition of the tournament was a $27 buy-in tournament which lured in 16,279 players creating a prize pool of $325,580. This greatly surpassed PokerStars’ guarantee of $125,000. 2,475 players made the money with the first-place finisher, woooooza, winning $29,481.24 after a three-way deal was reached. The final table went as follows:

The medium Event 12 SCOOP event didn’t draw as large a player pool as the low event, but was still a success. A total of 2,548 entrants coughed up $265 for the 2-day event with every player having a $50 bounty on their head. This created a bounty pool of $127,400 and a prize pool of $509,600. At the end, 324 players would make money with the winner, tupacmn, winning over $81,000 and a Movado SCOOP watch. The event finished up as follows:

All eyes were on the high edition of Event 12. The event boasted a $2,600 buy-in with a $500 bounty on everybody’s head. A total of 277 players created a prize pool of $554,000. The $250,000 guarantee was shattered with $113,293 due to the winner. Alexander Kostritsyn made another final table after he was runner-up in both the high editions of Events 10 and 11. The framing of SCOOP Event 13 may sound like a grueling marathon when explained but it was one of the more interesting events of the poker series. Event 13 would feature no blind increases, but would require an ante from each player at the table which would increase as the tournament played on. The low edition had plenty of players pay the $16.50 buy-in. The 7,907 entrants created a prize pool of $118,605, easily surpassing the $75,000 guaranteed prize pool. The top 1,170 places would be paid. The final table’s results were as follows:

As with the low event, the medium event had the same structure of blinds staying at 5/5 while antes increased every level. A total of 1,243 entrants paid the $162 buy-in to create a $186,450 prize pool that was divided amongst 162 players with the first place finisher taking home over $31,000. The high tournament was the crown jewel of Event 13. 171 of the best players in the world paid $1,575 to create a $256,500 prize pool. Only eight of the 171 players made it to day two of SCOOP Event 13-H. The final table went by rather quickly and resulted as follows:

Event 15 kept all players at the edge of their seats with its turbo structure. The event only had five-minute levels which meant twenty levels would be played in only an hour. Players were allowed to register late (within an hour of the beginning of the tournament) and rebuy once within the first hour and a half of the tournament. At the end of late registration, 11,284 players bought into the tournament with 5,755 players rebuying. The final prize pool was a whopping $255,585 with the top prize reaching $34,895.45. The medium tournament played in a similar style as its low little brother. This tournament had 1,969 players register with 862 of those players rebuying. The $424,650 prize pool shattered the $225,000 guarantee and 252 players were paid. The top three players reached a deal to chop the remaining prize pool. The final nine looked as follows:

The high level turbo tournament was certainly the most interesting. With 307 players paying the steep $1,575 buy-in, the prize pool was a huge $670,500 after 140 player rebought. The ninth place finisher in the medium tournament, Eifffel, also ran well in the high tournament and won the $137,117.25 grand prize. The rest of the final table looked as follows:
