The poker boom stemmed from the World Series of Poker, a huge series of tournaments with humongous prize pools and thousands of players involved. A tournament series is usually very exciting since players will be taking shots at huge sums of money. This November, PokerStars will be hosting three separate tournament series’. Each of the three series’ will be solely dedicated to American, Canadian, or Asian Pacific players.

The USA Championship of Online Poker (USA COOP) is 11 events highlighted by the $1,000,000 guaranteed Main Event. The tournament series starts on November 21st with a $55 + rebuy No Limit Hold ‘Em 6-max event. The prize pool is guaranteed to be at least $150,000. A week later, players will be ponying up $530 to play in the Main Event.

The Canadian Championship of Online Poker will be the biggest exclusive tournament series to ever run for Canadian players. Like the USA COOP, it is a series of 11 tournaments. The guaranteed prize pool is a huge $580,000. The tournament kicks off on the same day as the USA COOP with a tournament of the same format. It culminates the next week with the $530 buy-in Main Event with a $200,000 guaranteed prize pool.

The Asia Pacific Championship of Online Poker is similar to the other two tournament series, but on a smaller scale. It begins and ends on the same days but the buy-ins and guarantees are smaller. The tournament series’ first event will cost players $11 + rebuy to enter while the Main Event will cost $215 to enter with a $50,000 guarantee. In addition to championship titles, players that perform exceptionally well in the tournaments have a chance to be named Player of the Series and win an APPT Sydney prize package.

There are tons of ways to qualify for each of the tournament series’ events. Satellites are currently running and registration is now open. The satellites and the actual events can be found in the PokerStars lobby under Tourney in the Regional subtab. Players of all three regions make a deposit from November 15th to November 21st (at 15:30 ET) will be credited with a ticket to a COOP Depositor Freeroll. The USA and Canadian COOP Depositor Freerolls will give out 10 Main Event seats to the top ten players of the freeroll. As for the Asia Pacific COOP Depositor Freeroll, 100 players will win tournament tickets. The top 9 players will win a $215 tournament ticket, places 10-50 will win a $33 ticket, and places 51-100 will win a $22 ticket.
