100 Billion Hands Celebration
PokerStars 100 Billion Hands Celebration is now under way! The public vote for the Greatest Ever Hand in the History of PokerStars is open until Monday, June 10, and the winner will be announced on June 11.

The final 300 milestone hands countdown to the 100-billonth hand began last Friday, with $2 million set to be awarded to players in real money ring games across the next week. The 100-billionth hand, which will see $1 million given away, is projected to take place next Thursday, June 13.

In addition, there are several other ways for players to win money over the next four weeks, including ring games, tournaments, and Sit & Go’s. A further $3 million is set to be given away, so click here for more information.

Nicklas Heinecker wins the GuangDong Ltd Asia Millions
Nicklas Heinecker won the GuangDong Ltd Asia Millions on Friday for a first prize of HK $34,600,000 (US $4,465,516), defeating Australian player Jeff Rossiter heads-up.

The GDAM event, presented by PokerStars, took place at the ‘PokerStars LIVE at the City of Dreams’ poker room in Macau. 71 players bought into the HK $1,000,000 (US $129,000) event, with 54 rebuys taken, which created the second biggest prize pool ever outside of the United States at HKD $119,375,000 (USD $15,378,849).

APPT Macau
The Asia Pacific Poker Tour Macau event begins on Wednesday, June 12, at the ‘PokerStars LIVE at the City of Dreams’ poker room. The five-day event offers 11-events and will feature a HK $25,000 buy-in Main Event with a HK $6,000,000 guaranteed prize pool. LAPT Colombia Update
The Latin American Poker Tour is running at the Casino Allegre in Medellin. The series features six events, including the COP 1,800,000 + 200,000 (approx US $1,000 total) Main Event, which is a re-entry event with two Day 1s. For live tournament updates, click here.

LAPT Peru
As the LAPT is playing out in Colombia, the next stop for the region’s richest poker tour will be Peru. The event will head to the Atlantic City Casino in the capital city of Lima from July 31 – August 4, 2013 and will feature nine events as part of the festival, including a $1,500 + $150 Main Event with unlimited re-entries during the first four levels of play. Shou in VIP Club Hall of Fame
Tian ‘wobbly-au’ Shou was inducted into the PokerStars Hall of Fame after racking up five million lifetime VPPs and reaching the Supernova Elite for five consecutive years. When asked to comment, he had this to say: “My friend was convinced I would make it big on PokerStars so he gave me $50 and a one-hour lesson in Hold’em. Six months later I had $100,000. Three years later I had made a million and saved my family from poverty.”
