This past Sunday was an exciting day as Full Tilt Poker re-launched its tournament series, FTOPS, or Full Tilt Online Poker Series. Before FTOPS XXI comes to an end on December 16th, Full Tilt will crown 35 tournament champions and reward participants in the 35-event series with more than $7.5 million in prize money!
As exciting as Sunday was with the first FTOPS XXI event being played, Monday was three times as exciting as three more players joined the ranks of doneNdusted84, the winner of Event #1, as FTOPS champions.
Event #2, a PL Omaha Hi/Lo, 6-Max tournament with a buy-in of $200 + $16, began at 11am EST. With a prize pool that exceeded its $75,000 guarantee by more than $30,000, this event attracted 527 competitors all of whom were eager to win a gold-jersey avatar…and a significant sum of prize money. In the end, 66 people received a prize for their respective play with joaosimaobh taking home the first place prize of $23,188. Because of the number of people who signed up for it, the third event in this year’s FTOPS ended up with a prize pool that was more than double the size of the event’s original guarantee.
