Over 1,200 players registered to do battle in the sixth event of FTOPS XVIII. The $322 event was rather vanilla, except for the super turbo blind structure. It’s not quite Rush Poker, but the blinds do escalate rather quickly, five minutes per level to be exact. There wasn’t much room for postflop play, so hopefully entrants knew how to play push-fold poker. Luckily, there was a slight overlay, and Full Tilt Poker ponied up $15,000 out of pocket to ensure the prize pool met its $400,000 guarantee.

Hosting FTOPS Event #6 was the beautiful Lacey Jones. The native Texan is a hybrid model/poker player who is gaining fame in the poker community. According to Full Tilt Poker, she is the official WSOP hostess and bracelet presenter. Jones was taught Stud poker by her grandmother. In fact, she took home third place in a recent 7 Game tournament on Full Tilt. Unfortunately, Jones was knocked out of FTOPS Event #6 in 472nd place, well short of the money.

Of the 31 Full Tilt Red Pros who entered, only 3 managed to cash. Niklas Henecker squeaked into the money with a 98th place finish. Accomplished Danish pro Søren Kongsgaard (18th) and German Maxi Müller (12th) both made a deep run. Both were eliminated just before the final table.

At the final table, the blinds were high, and the stakes were higher. First place was $88,000 and ninth place was $6,000. No one wanted to be the first one eliminated as that player would feel they left tens of thousands of dollars on the table.

When it was all over, lucky number ‘SlevinRo’ came out on top. The Romanian blew his previous biggest score of $6,000 out of the water with the $71,000 top prize that he earned via a chop.

Second place finisher, ‘Tenkamusou’, actually received a $73,000 reward thanks to a deal made by the players during headsup play. With this second place finish, the Austrian has surpassed $1,000,000 in total online winnings. Congrats Tenkamusou!

Congratulations to all the players who cashed FTOPS XVIII Event #6! Best of luck the rest of the series.
