More than $1,000,000 was up for grabs in yesterday’s FTOPS XV Event #17 $300+$22 NL Hold’em Rebuy and Add-on 6max extravaganza. There were plenty of gamblers on hand as players decided to rebuy 1,872 times and 766 of the players making it past the first break decided to add-on. Peter “Nordberg” Feldman hosted the $1M Guaranteed event which saw more than 1,000 players create a rather large $1,101,000 prize pool.  Feldman is a well-respected poker professional who won a WSOP Circuit in 2006 for more than $500,000. Feldman has also seen some success playing online on FullTilt with more than $300,000 in cashes including a win in the $1K Monday last August for $97,500.  His best score in an FTOPS Event was a 9th place score for $20,250 last November.

Feldman was joined by 18 other FullTilt sponsored professionals including former WSOP Main Event Champion Huck Seed. Other notable names on hand were Isaac “Menlo” Baron (217th place), Ivy-league educated Brandon Adams (322nd), and David Benyamine’s significant other Erica Schoenberg (847th).  Only two “professionals” made the money including the host who finished in 20th place. Feldman was easily the low-pro as Steve Zolotow had a mini-cash in 58th place. Luis Velador was one of the bubble boys as he finished just outside the money in 127th place.

While no FullTilt pros managed to reach the final table there were still a couple big names in online poker on hand as six solid players battled for the $229,558 first place prize.  Leading the charge was “AGame18”, “goodvibe”, and Jeremiah “Believer8219” Vinsant who are all solid tournament grinders. Believer82 was the first to fall as he busted in 6th place for $37,434. While this is a big score it barely cracks his top-10 online cashes which is headlined by a 3rd place finish in WCOOP Event 33 last September for $114,080.  Fourth-place finisher goodvibe took home more than $81,000 for a hard days work. He has had a lot of past success on both FullTilt and PokerStars where he nearly won the Sunday Million a few years back taking 3rd for $69,050.  This cash appears to rank as the biggest score of his career, one that now has more than $2,000,000 in cashes.

The final three players, Agame18, “StackedYa”, and WMACHINE” decided to chop the remaining $490,000 left in the prize pool paying out $164,000, $174,533.50, and $153,043 respectively.  While the chop did take some steam out of the final table it did lock up the biggest pay-days of each of their careers. WMACHINE’s $153k cash came off the heels of a strong finish to 2009 that saw him finish 3rd in Mulligan and final table the $1K Monday twice.  Eventual winner Stackedya appeared to be the least experienced of the bunch but was able to amass the largest chip stack as he walked away with nearly $175,000.

Congratulations go to Stackedya and all 120 players who made the money in FTOPS Event #17!
