The Super Bowl didn’t seem to have a very large affect on the turnout of the big Sunday’s this week. In the richest tournament around, the Poker Stars Sunday Million, a player named Volcano360 won a solid $180,000 for his victory. He edged out Wildman75, who received 3rd for about $67,000. Wildman75 was no stranger to big final tables; he previously received 2nd at Event #1 of the 2007 WCOOP for nearly $100,000. A player named Miros took down the Sunday Warm Up for about $108,000. 7th ranked tournament player (pocketfives.com) AJKHoosier scored the silver in the $200 rebuy for around $30,000. Gold went to amateur exposabre. Rounding out the Poker Stars big Sunday’s, WSOP bracelet winner mig.com won the Sunday $5200 winner-take-all freezeout for the standard six figures.

Possibly for fear of overlay because of the Super Bowl, Full Tilt lowered its biggest Sunday tournament down to a 500k guaranteed. However, the still substantial over $100,000 first prize was won by a player named pleace. Mkind0516, who received 2nd to FTR’s Sauce123 in the Turning Stone Superstack Main Event, again fell behind first, this time placing 3rd in the UltimateBet 200k guaranteed for $18,500. The winner was sean4040, who took down $46,000 for first. UltimateBet may have been better off following Full Tilt’s lead, as they paid an overlay of $40,000. Bodog paid nearly the same overlay on their 100k guaranteed, which was won by ColbatBlue for $25,000. Finally, Non-American site Party Poker experienced no hit from the Super Bowl, and a player named gotthismoney did what else? Got that money. Around $65,000 to be exact.

Congratulations to all the winners this week and Congratulations to the Giants!
