And the happy family keeps growing; PokerStars recently announced the addition of Mexican pro JC Alvarado to their ranks. JC, full name being Juan Carlos, was the captain of team Mexico at the PokerStars World Cup of Poker V. He’s a friendly and amiable guy, you know, the kind of guy you want to hang out with. He could be named considered the Mexican Daniel Negreanu.

As member of the elite group of Team PokerStars Pro’s, JC will participate in a number of live events around the world. You can also run into him online at PokerStars, of course; his screen name is ‘JC Alvarado’.

JC was born in Mexico, but moved to the United States when he was still a kid. He lived in California. Before long, he also developed a thing for card games, and he has results to back him up: in just a few years at the tables he has won more than three-quarters of a million dollars at live events, and also online.

It was then, when he saw how much he was making, that JC got fully into the poker world, and put his movie-making and film studio aspirations a little bit on hold.

JC joins the ranks of among many Dario Minieri, Hevad Kahn, Raymond Rahme, Daniel Negreanu, Rolf Slotboom, Vanessa Rousso, Joe Hachem, Greg Raymer and Chris Moneymaker; Team PokerStars, always well represented, and seemingly making it deep into any event they play.
