Ladbrokes Poker’s Clean Sweep in Weekly 100k Guaranteed

It was a clean sweep over the weekend as three Laddies players scooped first, second and third place in the weekly, Sunday, €100,000 guaranteed tournament on the Microgaming Network.  The three players from the UK, Sweden and Denmark won a total of €49,838.65 between them with ‘happynuts111’ from Essex banking  €25,000 for first place.

‘happynuts111’, Terence Palster from Essex a keen Spurs fan, used the last of his bank roll (€6) to play in the Saturday night satellite.  He won this securing his seat in the Sunday €100,000 guaranteed, although he didn’t fancy his chances – apart from having no spare cash for a Re-Buy or add-on, he missed the start of the tournament having fallen asleep after watching the Spurs v Chelsea game.

The good fortune for Ladbrokes Poker players doesn’t stop there though, this is the second time in as many weeks that Ladbrokes Poker players have celebrated significant wins on the Microgaming Network.   Last week the Bad Beat Jackpot which stood at $414,000, was, amazingly for the third time in a row, won by Ladbrokes players.

In this instance, ‘Team-Rivers’ from Worthing  and ‘kenn213’ from Romford on a $0.50/$1.00 Bad Beat table, secured a £11,415 windfall each, when an 8 high straight flush was beaten by  a Jack high straight flush. Although both Laddie players had folded pre-flop they benefitted when the Bad Beat jackpot was activated.  The jackpot has now been reset and currently stands at over $86,000.

Kate McLennan, Head of Ladbrokes Poker said:  “It just goes to show that Ladbrokes Poker is the place to play.  In the last eight months, our players have secured a number of big wins and whilst this is testament to their poker prowess, it would seem that our players are in the right place at the right time and largely seem to be holding the winning cards.”

For a chance to win the Bad Beat Jackpot, simply join a Bad Beat Table from the Cash Games Lobby and lose with 4 of a kind 8’s or better. Remember everyone dealt into the jackpot hand wins a payout – as both ‘Team-Rivers’ and ‘kenn213’ can testify. Join the action now!

Poker Win Pays for Niece’s Big Day!

Terence Palser, 49, from Dagenham, turned a tenner into over twenty thousand pounds on over the weekend.  Terence, a former Security Alarm Installer, before being made redundant, revealed that he nearly didn’t play in the online poker tournament.  Terence a Spurs fan, fell asleep after watching Tottenham’s defeat at the hands of Chelsea on Sunday, luckily, he woke up just 30 minutes after the poker game began to secure his £23,300 win.

Terence, who is admittedly still a bit shell-shocked, celebrated his win with a slap up full English breakfast, and has generously pledged to pay for his niece’s wedding in January.  He also plans to give £300 to each of his three poker playing brothers and will travel to Ireland with one them in October to try and qualify to play in the Ladbrokes Irish Poker festival in Killarney via their €60 Super Satellite!

Terence who’s been playing on for four years said:  “This win really couldn’t have come at a better time.  I was down to the last tenner in my account, and wouldn’t have even been playing the €100 guaranteed tournament if it wasn’t for winning the cheap qualifier, but thank God I did!  The nap must have done me some good though, the tournament lasted seven hours finishing at 2am, it just goes to show, that sometimes when you snooze you don’t lose!”
