The PokerStars Caribbean Adventure is the year’s inaugural poker event. The beautiful Atlantis Hotel and Resort is the perfect retreat for poker players looking to escape the cold and play with the best in the world. The PCA will be a series of poker tournaments running from January 6th to January 16th. A number of the events’ final tables will be featured on ESPN2 for the first time ever.

The PCA kicks off with the Super High Roller No Limit Hold ‘Em. The $100,000 buy-in means only the world’s greatest will be sitting at the felt. The final day of the Super High Roller No Limit Hold ‘Em coincides with the first Day 1 of the $10,000 Main Event that the entire poker world will be watching. Day 1B will kick off the next day, January 9th. The main event will run until January 15th. Last year’s main event had 1,529 players and a $14,831,300 prize pool. Harrison Gimbel, a 19-year old poker prodigy, won the main event and $2.2 million.

The 2011 PokerStars Caribbean adventure has 48 scheduled events. The events include a $5,000 PLO tournament, a $5,000 heads-up championship, and a $5,000 8-game championship.
