In the last year, Titan Poker has been making great strides in the online poker scene, doing their very best to attract players to their poker room. Their efforts, along with those made by the iPoker network in general, have obviously been working, as they have the third highest cash game traffic online (behind PokerStars and Full Tilt, as mentioned in previous articles). Their cash games are, indeed, very popular, but it’s their tournaments that deserve the most attention. Titan has been working hard to improve their tournament structure and schedule. As featured in my article last week, they held their second European Championship of Online Poker (ECOOP II), and it was a huge success, with thousands upon thousands of players showing up in search of that big score.

The ECOOP II came to an end last week with Event #10, a $1,060 buy-in with a $1.5 million guaranteed prize pool. After over thirteen and a half hours of play, Jeanss89 finally emerged victorious. Not only did Jeanss89 win gigantic bragging rights for taking down the ECOOP II Main Event, but he (more importantly) took away an extremely impressive $315,000 in prize money. As of yet, there’s no word when the next ECOOP will take place. However, with this series being so popular, you can bet the next one won’t be too far away.

If you missed the ECOOP, there’s plenty of other action to become part of. Recently, Titan Poker’s weekly Sunday $200 buy-in tournament expanded its prize pool from $200k up to an impressive $250k – a quarter million dollars! It looks like they’re making a serious effort to attract more players and become a regular part of the tournament player’s Sunday routine. Today the tournament got 1,114 players, which meant there was an overlay of $27,200. miwu took advantage of the free money, winning the final table and the $52,500 that came with the victory.

Titan also features many other huge tournaments that bring in high stakes players from all over the world. Currently, they have a $500 $50k High Roller tournament on Mondays, a $300 $25k Double Stack Freezeout, numerous $100 and $200 rebuys throughout the week, and a $50 rebuy on Fridays where the prize pool is $150k!
