ukGrosvenor 25/25 series Hits Glasgow

The Grosvenor Casino sister tour for the GukPT is rolling into Glasgow, where it’s expecting to give the “Glasgow Kiss” to the £25,000 guarantee.

There are three opening flights, one on Friday, and two on Saturday, with the final day on Sunday. The £200 + £20 buy in event is taking place at the Grosvenor Merchant City Casino, and players are allowed to re-enter once per flight if they wish to, but only if the player has busted from the tournament.

DTD Grand Prix

The Dusk Till Dawn Grand Prix is still going through it’s opening flights, and the £250,000 guaranteed event is still up for grabs. The buy in is a measly £50 + £10, which is going to give whomever wins one hell of a return on their investment.

Players are able to buy in through the Dusk Till Dawn iPoker client, as well as play the opening flight online if they choose. With some of the rumblings coming from the Dusk Till Dawn owner Rob Yong, this could be the last Grand Prix with this format, so it’s time to fill ya boots with as much value as possible.

 APAT Irish Amateur Poker Championship

Although Ireland became a separate country in the 1920s, I’m including this one in the line up for this week because it’s going to be a lot of fun.

This €75 + €10 event is limited to 120 players plus any alternates the organisers can get seats during the first 3 levels of Saturday’s Day 1.

Play will finish on Day 1 when they tournament is down to 27 players, regardless of what time that is, as the plan is for the last 27 players to conclude the event on Day 2.

The event is taking place at the Fitzwilliam Card Club and Casino in Dublin, and unfortunately for those of you who like a beer while playing, no alcohol is served on the premises due to Irish licensing regulations.

WCOOP

The 2013 WCOOP is in it’s final week, and is going to culminate with a $8,000,000 guaranteed Main Event on Sunday which has a very affordable $5,200 buy in, and is at no risk of not smashing that guarantee.

With the number of professional players making the UK their home, I’m expecting to see the eventual winner with a UK tag on their account.

If the price of the events is a little high for your bankroll, as usual, PokerStars have satellites on offer. You can play these for relative peanuts in comparison to the standard buy in prices, and can even buy in for FPPs if you have enough squirreled away.
