Ultimate Poker Launches Real Money Poker in Nevada

By the time you read this, history will have been made and the first hand of online poker regulated by a branch of the US Government will have been dealt. Someone will have won the first real money in what is bound to be a massive business.

Ultimate Poker launched it’s real money client today, and while they know it doesn’t offer everything players want, they wanted to be first into the market place, and they are planning to launch a new version of the software in about 2 months, and this will include a VIP program.

The site is currently offering cash ring games and Sit and Go single table tournaments. The first multi table tournament is planned to run on May the 5th at 6PM ET, but it is expected this is going to be limited to 200 runners for this week. It will be a $91+$9 event with a $10,000 guarantee.

To sign up and play on the site, you will need to be in Nevada State, and have a mobile phone able to participate in Ultimate Poker’s verification system (Sprint, Virgin and T-Mobile are all accepted, but Verizon does not currently support the program).

If you are able to sign up and get verified, you have several options to deposit on the site, you can deposit cash at any Station Casino ($10 min), e-check ($10-$300), Check by mail ($10-$500) or Bank Wire ($500 minimum).

We covered Antonio Estifandari signing up as Ultimate Poker’s Ambassador at the beginning of the month, and was the first signing for any US state regulated poker site.

“This day has been a long time coming. Online poker in the United States is finally here and totally legit,” he remarked. “I signed on to be the ambassador for Ultimate Poker because I knew the people behind this company would do it right. I signed on because UltimatePoker.com is where I would come to play. Now we all can.”

Ultimate Poker is  partnered with the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) and is the online portal for Station Casinos.

Station Casinos, one of the biggest casnio groups in the world, are on the bounce-back from bankruptcy in 2011, and posted a profit on their 2012 balance sheet.
