Third time’s the charm, right? The folks at Victory Poker had better hope so.

The company has recently announced that they will be making the move from the Cake Network to their competition, Cereus. This marks their third move in the past thirteen months, after starting off in the care of Everleaf.

While this may be viewed as an upgrade by many in the industry, there’s a problem. Network switches inevitably result in a drop in traffic, and Victory’s trio of hops have done serious damage to their user count.

The good news here is this – despite the inevitable flux, Cereus does give Victory the best chance to succeed. The network is currently home to two major gaming companies, Ultimate Bet and Absolute Poker. At least a portion of their established player base will take time to check out the Victory tables.

It’s not as if Victory doesn’t have the star power to succeed. Their current roster of pros includes such names as Antonio Esfandiari, Lee Markholt, Paul Wasica, and Andrew Robl. These are all names that television conscious players will recognize. Consequently, there is a large amount of funding in the company’s corner. It’ll take a strong showing from here on out in order for the company to regain the trust of their previous players, though.

The network they departed, Cake, has announced that they have new owners. Now, the PokerListings affiliate group will hold the reigns.
