Just over a day ago the fifth Micro Millions series has crowned its last winner and is now officially in the books. Awarding millions of dollars across a 100 events, the Micro Millions series is quickly becoming one of the most dominant low stakes tournament series in online poker and hopefully it will return soon.
The biggest event was of course Event #98 – The Main Event. 59,213 players each put up a small $22 buy-in for a shot at the $150K+ first place prize. In fact, the $1M guarantee was smashed just like in every other event and boosted to almost $1.2M, increasing the first place prize to $160K! After 12 hours of play it was Lithuanian “stygher” who came out on top and took down the tournament outright without making any deals!
Action in the Sunday Warm-Up was just as good as last week and this time Switzerland’s “goolirpoker” came out on top after striking a deal heads up with “EDWARDHOPPER” and receiving $85,160.80!
The Sunday Million also saw a deal being struck heads up between Denmark’s “tatue” and UK’s “g0epr0”. Being slightly ahead in chips, “tatue” got the better part of the deal, receiving $181,430.16, which was 5K more than “g0epr0”. Eventually “tatue” managed to hold on to his chip lead and finished off the tournament as the winner. Soon after the Sunday Million The Sunday 500 finished off and the final table saw no deals being struck as Brazilian “hellzito” took down the whole thing for $63,259.50.
At Full Tilt Poker Sunday’s majors were roaring as well and like always huge prizes were awarded in the biggest Sunday tournaments. The $250,000 Guarantee saw a threeway deal between “MUCKEMSAYWAAA”, “ser1Ace” and “__KASSIN__” who was the chip leader at the time. “__KASSIN__” received the lion share of $45,229.38 and easily cruised to victory eliminating the last two of his opponents.
The Sunday Brawl saw Sweden’s “Garyknife” defeating TJ “DarkHorse19” Ulmer heads up without striking any deals. “Garyknife” received $43,880.00 for his efforts while TJ had to settle for 2nd place and $29,224.08.
