Another WCOOP has come to an end and this one was better than ever! The Main Event saw a record breaking attendance of 2,133 players that created a prize pool of $10,665,500! But this was not the only WCOOP event of the weekend, so let’s take a look at some of the other events first.

Event #64 saw 9678 players put up $215 each for a shot at a huge prize pool and eventually a deal was reached between 4 players. “ROMDOM82” from Mexico got the worst end of the deal, but even so, he ended up pocketing $167,894.90, while the chip leader at the time – “Mrp1neApple” from Taiwan got $208,682.58. Eventually he beat Jonathan “ballallday12” Hilton heads up for the title!

Event #65 was a High Roller Event with a $10,300 buy-in and 86 players were willing to put up that amount for a chance to win over $200,000! After hours of battle between some of the best players in the world it was French pro Alexandre “BiatchPeople” Luneau who came out on top and took home the $234,350.00 first place prize.

Along with the main WCOOP events, second chance events were running alongside them throughout the series and the last one was particularly good as the $1,050 buy-in second chance tournament which started after the Main Event attracted nearly 900 people creating a prize pool similar to any Sunday Million.

In the early hours of the morning UK based pro Pablo “pablotenisis” Fernández was up against Brazilian “vinifenomeno” heads up. No deals have been made up to this point and none were going to be made as “pablotenisis” scored a clean victory over his opponent and ended up pocketing $160,920.00 from the very last WCOOP tournament this year!

Before all that, however, the Main Event itself kicked off and 292 players sat through 10 hours of play on day 1 to make it to day 2. The first place prize was almost $2,000,000, so players who made it to day 2 definitely had something to think about before returning to the felt. Eventually the return was very successful for German players in particular as 4 of them made it to the final table which guaranteed a six figure payout.

Eventually a deal was reached when play got down to three-handed and all the players left were from Germany! “SwissCantMis” was the short stack and received $1,101,835.44 for his efforts, while “Allanon85” and “PlayinWasted” were more closely matched and received $1,415,238.66 and $1,493,499.15. “PlayinWasted”, however, managed to hold on to his lead and close out the tournament, becoming the new WCOOP Main Event champion!
