One of the more interesting events in this year’s Full Tilt Online Poker Series has come to an end. The $500+$35 Deepstack Heads-Up Event sold out quite early, as the tournament capped off at 1,024 entrants and a $512,000 prize pool. The tournament took quite some time to finish, just over 12 hours to be exact.

There were plenty of big names on hand, including tournament host Scott Fischman. Fischman is a FullTilt sponsored professional who is best known for winning two WSOP bracelets in 2004. Fischman took down the $2k HORSE and the $1,500 NL Hold’em events, earning a combined $400,200 in the process. He tends to grind a lot of tournaments online; however, he has failed to hit a truly big score on FullTilt in the past.

Joining Fischman were 16 other FullTilt “Red Pros” including Phil Gordon, Taylor “GreenPlastic” Caby, and Huck Seed. A few of the professionals were able to make the money including Brian “Stinger88” Hastings and Jeff Madsen who finished 38th and 81st place respectively. A few former FTOPS winners faced off in a tough Elite-Eight match-up which saw Greg “DuckU” Hobson outlast Laurence “whatariver” Houston. Dobson, a top-100 ranked tournament pro, shipped FTOPS Event #21 a year ago, taking home $87,000 for his victory. Houston took home over $137,000 for his victory last year as well, winning the $240+$16 KO Event #8 on November 10th.

The final heads-up battle came down to “willb77” and “cczzarr” with willb77 taking home the title and just under $90,000, the biggest score of his young career.
