Event #18

Taylor Paur has taken down the $1,000 NLHE Event #18 for his first WSOP bracelet. He takes home $340,260 for his win. Phil Ivey was circling his first WSOP final table of the year, but ended up busting in 14th for $15,544. We have a full final table write up over here, but here’s how the money was split:

Day 1 of the $3,000 6-Max NLHE Event #21 saw 807 players test their mettle and join in the action. By the end of the day, only 129 had been found worthy of making Day 2, not included in this number were Phil Hellmuth and Phil Ivey, both of whom were busted in the late stages of Day 1. Player to keep your eye on still in the event include Allen Cunningham (18,600) William Reynolds (22,000) and Antonio Esfandiari (80,600).

Daniel Negreanu is still sitting pretty on top of the Player of the year rankings, even without getting much going so far in the Las Vegas portion of the race. the only addition to the top ten is Davidi Kitai, who’s win in Event #19 catapulted him up the rankings. The only other movement was Dan Kelly jumping up a few spots to fourth.
