The Full Tilt Online Series of Poker continues with some high roller action. Monday’s Event 16 attracted the cream of the crop with its huge $1,000 + $60 buy-in and $1,250,000 guarantee. It was a full ring tournament hosted by online poker professional, Jon Turner.

This tournament was no ordinary tournament, however. Full Tilt Poker made their FTOPS Event 16 special by having it be a Super Stacks tourney. Players start with 5,000 chips in Super Stacks tourneys with blinds starting at 10/20. This translates to starting stacks of 250 big blinds. Larger stacks lead to more post flop play. This increases the skill level needed to outlast the competition. The top finishers of this tournament are certainly poker’s elite.

The names surrounding this tournament were a who’s who of poker. The host, Jon Turner who goes by the online alias of PearlJammed, is one of the best online tournament players in the world. With more than $1.6 million in online winnings, he has put his name among the greats. Other familiar poker names playing in the tournament were Gavin Smith, Huck Seed, Erick Lindgren, Jeff Madsen, FTOPS Event 5 host TheWacoKidd, Carlos Mortensen, Josh Arieh, and Allen Cunningham who placed 115th to make $1,918.

Event 16 of FTOPS XVII was the biggest tournament of the day. With 1,370 entrants buying in, a prize pool of $1,370,000 was waiting to be claimed. The top 135 finishers of the event would walk away with a piece of the massive prize pool. The big winner was yahoo33 whose AT beat kleath’s AK. This bad beat won yahoo33 over $300,000 while kleath took $191,800. The rest of the final table finishes were as follows:
