Inter Poker Review

Inter Poker was launched back in 2002 on the Cryptologic Network, and at that time was the network’s flagship site. In the first half of 2009, the site moved to the Boss Network, and has recently moved to the bigger OnGame Network. Since the move to Ongame, traffic has improved, and the changeover has come with a bigger better looking website, and improved features for the client.

The VIP program can offer players up to 40% “Valueback” on their rake. The VIP program also offers other regular promotions and rewards. The client is also available for Mac, PC, iOS and Android.

The Ongame network sits 16th in the league table of player numbers according to, and seems to have some reasonable player numbers to allow players to be able to get some decent volumes in.

With good processes to both deposit and withdraw funds, InterPoker has all the things you’d need to make it one of your stable of sites, but we’d advise against making it your only place to play, purely due to the limited player pool and overly complicated VIP System.

Software Interface/Usability

With InterPoker now on the Ongame network, they have joined an established network that has a history of providing a decent clean interface.

Navigating around the site is pretty self explanatory, and all the options are clearly labelled.

With Tabs for Cash Games, Strobe (Fast Fold Poker), Sit and Gos, Scheduled Tournaments and Play money as the first level, and selections from drop down menus as the filter controls, it’s a nice clean looking interface, that is pretty ergonomic to operate.

There are other smaller tabs to filter between different types of game, and InterPoker offers Texas Hold’Em, Omaha, 5 Card Draw and 7 Card Stud.

The tables themselves are resizable, and you have the option to customise the look to a small degree. This allows you to find the right balance of animations and avatars etc. to suit your setup.

The option to have the hand history pop up attached to the table is a nice feature, and should stop you losing track of what’s going on when you are playing more than one table.

Playing the games themselves is actually rather easy. With built in key binds for the main actions, play is pretty quick and fluid.

The game flows very well, and allows the experienced player to play more than one table with relative ease.

Overall, a reasonable software package, and ranks in the middle of the pack. There are better packages out there, but there are also certainly worse.

Poker Room Action

The Ongame network has reasonable traffic at peak times, but outside of these, you may find filling up more than a couple of tables really hard.

According to, the network averages 495 players, with peaks at around 1,000 online at any one time.

At these peak times, this sixe player pool should mean you have no issues finding a micro or mid stakes game or two at your particular format.

Ease of Game, Ease of Making Money, Fish Rating

The fishing report seems to indicate that the site has more than it’s fair share of nitty regular players who’s games are basic enough to work out pretty quickly.

Added to that are some hyper aggressive players who seem to think they can win every hand by force of will alone. By working out which players are which, it shouldn’t take you long to start showing a profit against them, as long as you stick to simple ABC play.

Bonuses and Promotions

Inter Poker currently offers a flat bonus of up to $500/€500/£500 free on deposit for new players. It doesn’t matter how much or what currency you deposit in; the amount you’ll be awarded will depend upon how many player points you can accumulate within 60 days of depositing. You’ll have to claim the Inter Poker bonus by signing up through our links, making your first deposit, going to the “My Account” section, and clicking on “Bonuses.” That’s where you’ll be able to select your bonus.

You’ll earn Player Points based upon rake generated and tournament fees paid, at a rate of $1 rake/fee = 3.6 player points. Your bonus will be issued to you in parts as detailed in the below schedule:

300 points = $25
420 points = €25
500 points = £25

The points you earn will also contribute to your progress in the VIP Lounge. Everyone starts out at “Classic” level and will earn a relatively paltry 8% in valueback. However, the higher you climb, the more rewards you’ll receive. At the “Platinum” level, players get back rewards worth more than 40% of the rake they pay. These valued grinders will also receive the attentions of a customer relationship manager, faster cashouts, exclusive freerolls and rake races, and more.
