Yeah, true. I guess at the time I interpreted the button's bet as a bluff/semi-bluff because of the strange dynamic this table had. The way the players played at this table literally made no sense, even from a beginner's point of view. Had the pot been smaller, and had the table been even slightly tighter and had I not witnessed the way the previous hand played out (tons of people showing down with strange hands), I would have folded this flop. Turned out I was correct, although I couldn't have been 100% sure. Probably should have raised though with that sort of gut intuition.

But yeah, that was a clear gamble I didn't have the odds for. I just had a gut feeling this time around and I went with it. The turn's action only confirmed it when the button checked.

I don't typically listen to gut feelings since they aren't that strong. I guess this was an exception. I doubt I'll pull this kind of action again though, I really shouldn't play like this when the odds aren't in my favor.
