$25NL - Easy fold or easy call?

I'm still feeling my way back around the cash tables after a break playing SNGs so, apologies, but there may be a few noob questions bouncing around from me.

Anyway, only just sat down so have nothing useful on either opp. Just 7 hands where neither of them have played.

Easy call or easy fold?

Call, as I dont like folding or 4betting.

Hey Muzz, I saw you at 25NL the other day - we shared 3 tables I think. Shouted you a couple of times but no response. How come you were at the 25's?

Sometimes I just like to work on my game and i like to do it at lower sakes. But I'm only rolled for 50nl anyway atm, not like its a hudge step down. Whats ur SN?

I sure think easy call. Even if we put him on a tight range of 99+,ATs+,KQs,AKo you're slightly ahead.

I'd be interested to hear feedback on my reply as to the range for my info?

This is a much easier call if we're fullstack and have relatively good implied odds against UTG+1 anyway...

If MP1 is passive then this is probably AK/QQ+ at the micros so it's a fold without implied odds to sethunt. against unknown microdonks I'm never feeling too good about JJ as an overpair when they did the 3betting because people generally 3bet an absurdly tight range.

oh wait sorry, I just presumed we were full stacked. WHY ARE WE NOT FULL?

SHOVE OR FOLD, vs these min 3bets I usually see big broadways rather than QQ+

yea calling is probably the worst option. Why would we call?

k, good comments. I've been shorting lately and that's why I posted this hand because I wasn't 100% on it. I guess EZ call full stack, fold/shove 1/2 stack.

Shorting here either shove or fold. If you were fullstack and this same situation occurred then I would call. If it was a normal sized 3b then like $3-$3.50ish then I would find a fold.

This might NOT be the perfect place to try it, but you'll be surprised when you start 4betting "light" how many 3bets get laid down. Anyway, I'd probably just shove all-in here, or fold. I don't really sit down at tables very often where I have no reads on anyone. So...I probably shove the 60bb stack all-in.

if yo'ure experimenting with 4bettin at 25NL, especially as a short statck, it's the wrong place

Good point swig - what i meant was that 25nl villains 3bet/fold a lot. So I would personally consider just shoving all-in.

If you are experimenting playing short stacked and go all in and double up , do you carry on playing normally or cash out half from the table and carry on playing short stacked or move tables and buy in short stacked again.

You can't cash out part of your chips from a table. You have to "hit and run," or leave the table when you've doubled up. Playing half stack vs. full stack requires VERY different strategies, so you either need to be good at both and able to switch back and forth easily, or you have to hit and run.

Hitting and running seems like a pansy play. But lots of folks do it. If you have a strategy tied closely to a fixed stack size, you have to work to keep everything in balance.

I've tried short-stacking in lower games (5 and 10NL) and even there I would most likely shove or felt it.

I find it hard to play short-stacked though, anyone with concrete advice on how to approach it?
