Its pretty easy to figure out the gamblers versus the poker players at the table in short order. IMHO, you have to play the gamblers as if you will never be able to push them off a hand. Against people like that, play a little tighter than you normally would, but a little more aggressive.
Maybe stay away from lower suited connectors and anything lower than KQs. But, when you hit something better, play super aggressive and make it big (at least 8xBB) to go. Don't be afraid to get it all-in preflop with pocket broadway cards.
Is that going to stop the guy withQ3o from catching the miracle? No, but if they call the big bets with those rags, you are a heavy favorite to make money, particularly since they probably aren't playing with any cards you want to hit the board.
