Im not folding here at $10nl ever. It's more than 3:1 to call, that's good enough for me against someone who didn't raise the turn.

It sure does look like villain turned a flush.

But, like bigspenda said, you are getting great odds to call. I don't mind a fold at a higher stakes games, but you never know if villain "slowplayed" K-K at this limit...

I might check this river to get to a cheaper showdown.

i think you are betting too big on the river, it puts a lot of chips in the middle that you don't have to against a stronger hand. also, i don't think A8 calls your big river bet either. make a bet small enouh for a weaker hand to call, but big enough still that you can get away from raises like this. i think this was a really good fold because big river bets like u made look a lot like flopped 555's. so, someone coming over the top like this usually has a stronger hand than trips. even if opponent has the only other 5 for trips as well, you only beat 4 kickers.

looks like a weak flush, to me. one that was afraid to get outdrawn on the river, but too passive to protect his hand on the turn.

i bet again on the flop and make it a 3/4 bet, minimum. you are vulnerable here, too. and you need to bet again on the flush card, to see if villain hit it. if you bet turn, and he raises, you dump. if he calls, you check-fold river.

at least thats how i play it. a read on the villain as simple as passive or aggressive would help, too.

as played, i guess i make the crying call and expect to see a baby flush.

I think I have to call, but for some new reasons.

Ah8x could be played this way, and your $2 bet does look a bit oversized for your range. If your opponent is thinking conspiracy theory poker here, it's easy to put you on a river bluff with something like a weak 8 or a 67. Even worse, if the villian is a thinking player, who thinks you're fairly tight, he knows you can fold a weak 5. You came in from the blind, after all.

    Dump it.

Potting river slightly overreps your hand, so it's rarely bluff if some non-laggy player raises you here. It's limped pot and lots of money behind, lower kicker cannot raise this board and everything lower than boat is forced to flat call because it may face a shove if the betting is re-opened. It's also really sick move to bluff river against such a strength as PSB because you rep stronger hand than you actually have. If he has you on air he'll also call but not raise.
