25nl stats REBATE! 50nl here I come!

Obv still finding my feet but now I see no reason why I can't dip into a bit of 50nl. i have ~37BI's for da fittys

looks pretty good. Don't change things during the move up. You'll be fine.
if this is on FTP the 90% fold to 3b is going to cause you to get shat on before too long

explain why your fold to 3bet is so high but your steal stats are relatively low.

M2m I think i just fold a lot because I suck at playing in 3bet pots when I miss I often fold AK to a aggressive nits 3 bet in or out of position. Is this really bad? Its because I don't know what to do in spots like this

obv cant fold pre coz he is defiantly doing this with worse. But what is the plan with overs? get to a cheap showdown or blow him of a marginal hand? Should I be 4bet folding pre?

i would almost guarantee this guy doesn't 3b 7% over a decent sample.

Now, you get better in 3bet pots. I'd consider 4betting that hand pre, as played folding on that flop is ok, floating and betting when checked to on a blank turn isn't terrible.

What are your reasons for 4betting? for value? because worse will call? what are we doing if we 4bet to $11.5 he jam's his remaining $9.65 into the pot being $23.75 i (think thats right) snap calling? 9.65/(9.65+23.75) = 28.89%

ps i'm flatting that AKs all day. i doubt he continues to a 4b, either flatting or 5betting, with any worse hands whatsoever. so 4betting basically turns our hand into a bluff (or a shitty stack off spot we could have avoided - AKs has ~40% vs QQ+,AK iirc). also, he could certainly be 3betting some Ax hands which will have reverse implied odds postflop versus our AK. so for these reasons i prefer flatting.

edit: ignore all this BS. i thought it was played at 25nl. being as it is a 50nl hand, villain's stack is half the size in BB's, and his range for getting the money in is going to be wider as a result.

You have to remember that 140 hands still isn't a very large sample size at all. I could run 5/5 over a similar sample (well not me, but someone who plays like 13/10 easily could) or more.

When we 4bet, we aren't necessarily doing it for value. AK is an odd hand in that it is an excellent hand to get all in with PF by 3betting/4betting/5betting, etc because it blocks the absolute top of his range so well (AA/KK). Think about it, he only has 6 combos of each in his range once we get AIPF. Sure he'll show up with it sometimes, but if he stacks QQ+, AK, we have as many combos of QQ (which we're flipping against) as he does AA/KK.

Not to mention all the times he's 3bet/4bet bluffing and we start to show a decent profit by doing so. Also, the fact that he has less than 50bb's makes it an lolsnap get it in PF since a lot of people will overvalue TT+, AQ with smaller stacks and try to get them all in. Don't let his stats fool you, especially since we're in LP and he's in the BB.

His range is going to be wider than 88+, AJ+. And even if it isn't, we're flipping vs 88-QQ, and dominate AJ/AQ if he wants to get it in with those type of hands, if he doesn't that just means we have blockers vs his continuing range + pretty decent fold equity.

If he was 100bb+ deep, then flatting it is fine (most likely better), but 4betting is still good.

Maybe you would be so kind to share your FTR resources notepad file? I feel like the BC digest is missing a lot of the good threads, the mods could maybe use your file to update it. If not, I sure am interested in it!

So what exactly did you change? I'm trying to un-nit myself a bit too by playing more from CO and BTN, stealing more, 3bet bluffing more, etc

yeah pretty much playing way wider IP, more 3betting as you said. Thinking about pot equity more and not nit folding all the time. um trying to think about my reasons for bet sizing more. ill post more if i think of some pretty much wider IP is the main focus tho gl
