I call...chances of him have Axs are low. I think it also depends on how much all-in is.

Unless you have a solid tell the he has Ax suited in the same suit as you then your call, only way I don't call right there is if I had a very solid read that he had the Ace flush...

What was the action in the hand? Did he just go all-in out of no where, did he check-raise, or what? What was his position in the hand? I can't really imagine any remotely intelligent player flopping the absolute nuts with virtually no chance of getting outdrawn and just moving all-in, so it's probably more likely he/she is bluffing (perhaps with the ace), or protecting a vulnerable hand (a weak flush with a low or middle suited connector). I'd think that flopping the ace high flush would be an automatic slow-play.

Anyways, this is a pretty easy call with the second nuts.

only way i fold this is if i think the guy is very tight and would only do it with an ace. and even then, the only situation I think I myself might be in where i'd fold, is if i had a large stack up against another large stack, say me and another had 120 in a .25/.50 room, and he pushed. I would probably fold then even if i was unsure if he had it or not.

unless your 100% sure this guy would only go in with the nuts then i think u have to call i would call that every time

I would put him on two pair trying to push people on the flush draw out. Probably trying to end the hand right there.

Thanks for the replies everyone, i dont feel quite as bad about loseing that $40 pot on the .10/.25 tables then =)


PS: would you play it the same way if he was acting like he had a strong flush?

aka, calls a bet on the flop, turn, and then when the 3rd of the suite hits the table on the river goes all in?

I usually see people go all-in on that flush flop when they have QQ and are upset that their primo hand is potentially wasted. So, if you have the flush call it.

Yes, or even not that good - AQ, KK, KQ, even Q5. I'd call that all day. Honestly there are few circumstances that would make me lay this one down. Maybe a very tight player raising my bets all the way to the river.

As a sidebar, how/why would you get in this hand to begin with unless you happened to be in the big blind or maybe some great pot odds?

i probably wouldn't be in the pot in the first place, but if i was, i would definitely call that...
