Default 40k hands - Come discuss my stats with me!

    Hey guys,

haven´t posted for a couple of weeks. I took two weeks off poker poker after finding myself in the freefall dropping 2k at the end of august. Right now I´m starting out again and I want to make sure that I haven´t huge leaks in my game. My game has become pretty static recently, there´s a lot of work to do and I have some tests/exams until october, which made me a lazy poker player, grinding some k hands/week in autopilot mode, without really evaluating/discussing/questioning my play. I´m aware that this attitude will leave me right where I´m at, collecting less than 1 BB/100 and that is NOT what I want.

All advices and hints are welcome and I´d really appreciate a disussion containing more than one-liners. Since I´m not the guy fully understanding all the numbers in pt I need your help.

    Good starting point would be:

-cbet%, I feel like I´m too tight/passive after the flop. Since I´m running somewhat loose relative to other regs on IPN I´m checking a lot of flops, especially oop. I´ve been slowplayed frequently and havent found a better strategy than to tighten up here

-river AF/river play, oftentimes my gut says " u missed a bet there, buddy" and I my toughest decisions are bet/check river. Running bad lately is affecting my thoughtprocess and Im struggling to weigh the chance of being raised/check-raised adequately.

Blind defense is pretty weak. Hey, that's not a one-liner!
    <SrslySirius> Hal Lubarsky, my nemesis.
<SaltLick> are you seriously losing to a blind guy

Blind defence doesn't matter at NL, fold the shit up.

Your Checking and calling too many rivers. Start with your aggression numbers, and by that I don't mean be more aggressive. Stop checking and calling and start betting and folding. If you want to play the hand because you think your ahead, then bet /raise, if you aren't sure or think you may be behind, fold. Trying to check call to so many river cards is killing you.Your went to showdown is low, so I would guess that you are check/folding to bets on the river with hands you would win with, like TPNK or MPTK. Start by betting out with the lead or when checked to.

You are also checking too much after a preflop raise. You need to bet more flops. Go into PT and look at all the hands that you raised pre, and see how you have done with checking vs. betting.

Mostly, bet or fold, stop calling and checking, on later more expensive streets. If you don't know where you stand in hte hand vs their range, fold.

Turn aggression is low compared to flop. i think you need to fire more second barrels.
W$@SD is only 50, mine is 52 even when i run bad, so i think somewhere you call too much/dont fold enough/dont make enough tight calls. Thats balance but mine has always been high and fnord will argue if he posts here you can win with a sub50% w$@SD.
Try to steal more, not a lot just push it up to 27% and then you can work at eventually pushing it to the optimal 30% (think this is what renton rants at me anyways)
C/r the flop more often when perhaps your range missed, make people call you on the flop light so that you can start taking tptk to showdown because people dont believe your c-bets.
You flop bet numbers are ok, but you check 40% so i would look to c/r a bit more.
Fwiw, my 40k numbers from 6max look similar (not vpip etc) except i c/r a lot more.
Im not quite so aggressive on the flop, but my turn aggression is more balanced meaning i probably lose a few more flops but win a few more turns.
