Default 88 ep open flops gold - 25nl sh

    Ok, I'm learning 6-max.
villain in the blinds is a nit 13-8 multi-tabler, a little aggro, but not too much. Villain sb has ATC range, villain button is uber-aggro and likes to raise-raise-raise post-flop with any flop connection.

Flop thoughts were bb had Kx, 55, something. He;ll fold the weak end of his range to a raise. Figured that any decent draw behind would love to make the re-raise shove if I simply called, but would be folding to any action. Turn and villain obviously likes his hand, so we can dance...
is my play stupid given reads and the flush draw/semi-connected flop?

    Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $0.25 BB (6 handed) - Party-Poker Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com

    Button ($6.13)
    SB ($12.42)
    Hero (MP) ($41.04)
    BB ($25)
    UTG ($17.81)
    CO ($13.17)

Preflop: Hero is MP with 8, 8
1 fold, Hero bets $0.75, CO calls $0.75, Button calls $0.75, SB calls $0.65, BB calls $0.50

    Flop: ($3.75) K, 8, 5 (5 players)
SB checks, BB bets $2, Hero calls $2, 3 folds

    Turn: ($7.75) 9 (2 players)
BB bets $6, Hero raises $15.50,

Hand is played fine with the reads you gave imo. Although I don't hate a raise on the flop at all. Turn isn't stupid at all, if he has 67 gg him imo. If he has KK hes dumb for not 3betting PF and cooler.

i don't like flatting the flop donk from the nit with a bunch of fish behind us. if the bet were closer to the size of the pot, i would be able to stomach it more, but since it's just half the pot there are a few things here.

FIRST: we're giving the fish behind us the right odds to call and even though there aren't TOO many scare cards to come, i still don't think it is +EV to let them see a cheap turn.

SECOND: the nit is clearly not bluffing. he's donking in a multi-way pot and only betting half the pot, so he's trying to get value (or he's making a stop bet, but either way we want his money now), so i don't expect him to fold to a raise.

If you really want to keep the fish in, you can make a small raise (4-5 dollars), but i really don't like getting such little value out of this flop

I'm def rasing him here, 6-8 bucks. I think its a good spot to actually shut those other draws out and get him heads up. If you got people with multiple draws out there that 9 completed one of em. I think a flop raise is due here.

I'm trying to get the pot big enough so I can get him committed and ship it.

I think he'll be calling your raise here. So he'll probably check to you on turn or donk bet into you. Either way, we're still going to be betting/raising for value.

But then again, I'm a noob, but that's just my line of play.
    I fold AA preflop.

Raise flop as played raise allin. He's going to call the same. But flop he'll call with a shit ton worse if you raise plus you don't allow him to set the price to see his draw if he's on one.

I also am in the flop raise camp. A spade/9/4 are "scare" cards and we're letting the village ppl draw for cheap.
    Ich grolle nicht...

I'd raise flop. A few reasons:

    1. WTF YOU DONKED AND I'M THE PFR? RAAAAGE. NO DONKING IN MY POT
    2. If he was the PFR that's the kind of flop I'd raise as a bluff, or flush draw semi-bluff. That's why if he donks that doesn't change.
    3. If he's betting this flop for value he has Kx, 55, flush draw, 58, 67 etc. hands that don't fold to a raise
    4. If he's bluffing it's a pretty shitty board to barrel because if we just call we have a king most of the time so I would only expect him to bet the turn with a serious hand that he'd call a raise on the flop with

well if we raise to like 8, we can shove turn
