AK TPTK vs. shortstacked

How do you guys play your AK TPTK against mid to short stacks. I feel like I'm getting burned with these hands. In $50 n/l twice I hand AK TPTK against both short-stacked players and both went all in on the flop, Unfortunately both had aces. My question is that would you guys pay these short to mid stacks off if you were in my situation?? I'm assuming its just variance coming into play.

Figure out a way to get the most out of them if they are behind. Because if they are ahead, they are doubling through you.

Define shortstack. If it's 40-50BB's or less, I am happy to get all in on the flop with TPTK. Folding isn't really an option, barring extraordinary reads.

PS How have you been doing Off? I haven't seen you on AIM since forever.

Yeah about 40-50bb's. Sup dude I'v just been chillin' recently move to 50 n/l on full tilt. Its a bit of a grind though.

I like to push on the flop against short stacked players with TPTK. I figure that if they have a short stack, they may be the type of players to overvalue AJ on an ace high board. This is my strategy at least when I'm the initial raiser.

If I'm calling a raise preflop, I'm either camping for a monster or looking for a cheap showdown.
