Okay, I need to know. Am I doing everything I can to get better at NL Holdem?

1. Reading everything on the subject. Books, ebooks, articles, forums, etc.
2. Watching videos of pros playing the game.
3. Will be getting coaching soon and will be part of either deucescracked or cardrunners.
4. Joined several poker forums and will be posting alot of trouble hands that need to be analyzed
5. Am currently playing as much as my bankroll permits(18+ hours)
6. Am currently using HEM(w/ addons) and PT3, to analyze how I am playing.

stop watching HSP/PAD and the WPT.

Point 5 is probably your problem.
Point 6 is just odd (i.e. using both)

FYP. It is not a huge leap to infer that your game is not great and that you are not currently a winning poker player, otherwise you would not be posting here for help. You may enjoy 18+ hour grinds but i can guarantee you that it is not optimal in terms of BB/100.

Carefull with # 2: Not all pros are a good as people think. Better off with coaching videos from one of the better training sites. Do a google search. Better yet, do # 3 but research the coach (a lot) before plunking down any $$$ for his/her svcs.

#5 could be a big problem. If you're doing marathon grinds then how's your irl? When do you sleep, study poker theory, eat and so on? If you're not givin the game your 100% attention while playing, whether in a hand or not(i.e. combining any of the others with #5{or any other BS like surfing the web}), then you've got a problem.

Also, work on # 7.

Describe this process. What stats are you looking at? Make a screen shot of you basic stats and post them. There are many stat gurus here.

How do you review HHs?

Watching lots of videos can hurt your game,IMO. I used to watch tons of GS videos and it seemed that I was continuously losing sessions because I was copying actions from jyms, M2M, Spenda, etc without knowing why I was doing them. The vids made me overly aggressive and I wouldn't get out of a hand I shouldn't be in. Now when I watch them I try to understand them and not just copy them.

-as for irl, that's not too important, as far as am i concerned i have no other obligations or duties, i just got out of university and am just relaxing
-i have a full 6 hours to sleep
-i study poker theory on the weekends
-i have food and drinks beside my computer, so i play poker and eat/drink at the same time

-as for the rest, THAT is a matter of opinion. I think playing as much as my bankroll permits has been beneficial to me. I could care less about the rest of "IRL" lol

18 hours a day or week? I like how people are giving you grief for this without even checking.

18 hours a day is a lot. For sure I've had sessions like that, but it's rare. I can play for many hours, but breaks are important, especially if we're "running bad" (that's just another way of saying playing like an idiot and looking to blame something else). If you were to take a half hour break every four or five hours, it could be hugely beneficial. Just make a cup of tea, walk the dog, watch some Futurama, anything to break up the session for just a short time.

Watching the pros is all very well and good, so long as you know when the pros are playing like idiots too. I like watching people like Ferguson, Neagranu, Ivey, even Hellmuth, these players play a very good tight/aggressive game. Some others play like $10nl donks and it frustrates the hell out of me that these muppets are playing poker for a living while I struggle to build a bankroll. Just don't think that because a pro did something, that it makes it a good move. I often think the pros deliberately make bad plays because they know how influencial they are. Either that or they have more money than sense.

Oh yeah, and definitely be prepared to take some stick off people when you post in forums. This is the internets, everyone has huge testicles. Bikes is correct, people shouldn't be so easily trolled.

Yeah you're right and yes I do take breaks, but I prefer to take really short breaks. Probably 10-15 minutes at a time, if something important comes up then yeah 30 minutes.

nobody's picked up on the implications of "I play as long as my bankroll allows" ie. that he plays till he busts every day then reloads etc. etc., if y'all're gonna be trolled at least get trolled by the good bits

Yes unfortunately I really have been playing until I bust and then wait until I can reload. I do not have the skills to currently keep the ball rolling. Often times, I will make money, but then lose it in the end.

I do not believe I am maximizing my gains and cutting my losses as of yet.

You've come to one of the best places to learn to play this game. I strongly recommend reading through the beginners digest here in the BC, but on the flop of hand # 2 what was your thought process?

Why the min-bets?
Do you not have a bet slider on your client?
There are several reasons to raise in NLHE and the fact that you've got a fucking button that has big capital letters R-A-I-S-E is not one of them.

If you want information about your opponents hand, a min bet is not going to get it. Anybody with (almost) ANY kind of draw will have the odds to continue.

If you want to decieve your opponent, then once in a while raise to 4bb with 74 from the hijack instead of the AKs.

Also, if you want a big pot then bet big, reach down, grab that mouse and drag the bar to the right until you feel like you've got a pair.

I've seen the CiB min raise strategy in some B&M tournies, but it's normally done ip otf and immediately followed by a shove ott(after the villain checks the turn), it's a WTF moment for the opponent. But that's a totally different animal: a live tourny vs an online cash game.
IMO, online the only reason to min bet is if you've got a great hand, 1st or 2nd nuts and think that your dumbass opponent is going to go spazzoid and bluff you with his whole stack. Awesome fun to watch!

I would imagine that you developed that image when you formed your first post the way that you did and then cemented that image with your responses.
Most people that join a forum would normally read through it to understand the format prior to proving themselves ignorant.

5. I don't see a relation between your bankroll and amount of time spent playing, unless you are playing until you bust your bankroll.
Bankroll for certain limit should be 25 buyins minimum. If you are multitabling then make it 9 buyins per table.

Whats kinds funny is he also sunk money into HEM, PT3, Leak finder etc.....without using a shred of advice

so he's down $840 over 10 months, so that's about $84 spent a month on casual entertainment. I guess you could do worse? I'm sure I could think of better ways to spend my time and money though than losing at poker...
