I would imagine that you developed that image when you formed your first post the way that you did and then cemented that image with your responses.
Most people that join a forum would normally read through it to understand the format prior to proving themselves ignorant.

I would like to think that most on FTR are willing to help AND offer good advice to someone who is willing to take the time to learn and listen.
