Default AQ - bad hand for me - advice?

So far AQo is by far my worst hand, with AQs close behind. I normally raise preflop with these, but then when the flop comes down I have a natural inclination to fold to any bet when not hitting anything on the flop. Even when I occasionally c-bet because there is a low board I usually get a caller or two sometimes.

Is there an effective way to play this hand? Because it is a low equity hand for me should I be raising more preflop or go the other way and just limp it like a low pair?

Funny thing is I play AK as a drawing hand more often than not except for a preflop raise because I think it's more of a drawing hand anyway - I guess I should think of AQ as the same way?

I am usually quick to fold AQ at a full table if the pot has been opened with a raise. I'll limp along with others if others are limping as well. Depends on my stack + theirs + blinds/antes.

My overall thoughts on AQ is that its a raising hand if its folded to you, its a folding hand if they're raising and a calling if others limp.

I'm quick to raise AQ when a couple people limp in before me, esspecially in good position. I think it is a bad play to limp in a suited AQ after a couple limpers. If you did hit TPTK, it isn't as strong in a non-raised pot.
