I've been up for over a day now and im too wired to grind so before i go to bed I';; try to come up with solid answers that aren't massive levls.

there is less room to splash around preflop when dealing with 20bb stacks (as opposed to 100bb etc). this doesn't mean you can't play loose preflop...one of the biggest winners ive seen that plays cap is approaching 30/25 territory. you just really need to have a really good idea of why you are making every open, every 3bet, why you size your bets the way you do and so on. so many people playing poker just don't even think about what they are trying to accomplish, they just copy what everyone else is doing because its 'standard'. the player who goes beyond standard and isn't doing what everyone else is is the one who takes the money.

seat selection gets more crucial with short stacks in my experience as having the wrong combo of players to your left seriously limits your options with only 20bb's, unless you've got a very strong grasp on open limping and leveling the shit out of everyone on top of that. you can't just sit back and rely on implied odds like u can deep though. after playing cap and spending a lot more time at 100bb lately ive found that 100bb regs are still fucking god awful at preflop play at 200nl and its 2011. higher than that my recent samples arent good enough to judge accurately. i think becoming proficient at cap and focusing on preflop theory (it really just boils down to a few numbers that u can figure out urself) has increased my edge at 100bb a metric fuckton because no one understands why they do anything at poker (as i said before) they just copy shit they see in videos and stuff and you can exploit the fucking hell out of that.

if there is anything u ever do in this game, it should be figuring out why you're doing something whether its preflop or on the river.

I assumed CAP would be just big cards hitting flop or not and PP shoving any single painted flop. Or any draw just shoving.... Basically a lot of shoving...

Greater then AK on a non A,K flop = nuts?

Never even thought about playing CAP before....

think relative strength, not absolute. this goes for all stack sizes.

Can i just jam AA-TT, AK preflop there and drown in insane amounts of rakeback? Speaking off, table selection for CAP is kinda weak, I was expecting shortstacking scum to migrate there since stars removed 20-50 tables but I guess I was wrong.

How much is positional awareness affected by the smaller stack size? Is there as much of a gap between profitable hands from mp and the hj/btn in cap as there is 100bb deep? (idk if that makes any sense)

Is WTSD% inherently higher? Or is that a leak?

no u will get completely raped playing too tight

ull lose way more than rakeback can make up for playing too tight. you need to do a fair bit of work on your own off the tables before developing a strategy that is close to breakeven.

Question: what's the best way for me to learn the things you are referring to where I've quoted you, with limited time. Particular books, articles, sites etc? Or particular concepts to study, narrower than "learn why you do anything".

coaching and a lot of deductive reasoning

Bikes, who's good for that aspect of coaching. I've spoken to you about poker a little bit so you prob know roughly where my level of understanding is.

Having never gotten actual formal coaching i have no idea.

From my understand variance in cap makes variance in other games seem LOL. How do you gain perspective? Is it just playing 300k hands and realizing that I had success in the past with my logical deduction therefore if I believe my plays are mathematical/logical sound then in time I will have profit. Do you repeat this mantra everyday to yourself, or over time does it become internalized?
