I thought it was OK to ask vague questions without getting insulted by the respondants since this is beginners circle. Thanks for evaluating my question as "vague".
How do you want me to reply those "press A or B buttons" or "reraise the guy who is already all in" ?
Thank you bigred, I have downloaded pokerstove. Are we allowed to use it during the games?
Thanks
You can definitely ask vague questions here, however you will need to be thick skinned enough to handle some of the responses you got here (such as the "A and B button" ones). I was merely tyring to reiterate that Bigreds suggestion was the one that you should take note of. Sorry if my reply came off any differently.
As for replying to those types of response my advice would be don't unless you are ok with some good natured ribbing.
One of the things that you will learn as your progress in your poker playing ability is that it is such a situational game that vague questions such as yours are extremely tough to answer. There will be at least 4+ factors in each situation that will lead you to the answer of how you should play certain hands in the BB against a SB shove.
As for using pokerstove while you are playing there are two factors related to that question. Technically using these apps while playing is generally prohibited and some sites are starting to put in measures that won't allow you to have these types of programs open while playing. With that said, if you can open the program while playing then use it.
Before you try using it during play though you may want to use it while reviewing HH's until you get pretty good at inputting hands and ranges into the program. This will enable you to use it in an efficient mannor without it being to disruptive to your game.
