a key thing to realise here is relative hand strength, you have two pair but consider what you accomplish with your bet. When you raise the turn you've turned your hand into a bluff.
This is a 3 way limped pot, which means he could have a very wide range, flushes, and even 9T are definately in his range. That small flop bet is usually some kind of draw.
On river when you bet absolutely nothings calling you there that you beat, so better to check behind,
it's easily done you've got 2 pair and think at last i can get value, but with these hands pot control is your friend, esp when he raises you on the turn, with completed straight and flush - tbh i'd fold at that point - but i'm a bit of a nit lately
