    Default Burned out on poker

Lately, ive been on a down swing, didnt lose much, always ups and downs.
The problem is im burned out on poker. On bodog, getting cold cards and playing against tight players on10nl. Im just not enjoying poker anymore, but i love money. As a result, i bluff so much, jsut viving my chips away. stinks.

Any suggestions? I stopped playing completely unless i got some kind of bonus to clear.

Agreed. I played WAY too much in december. WAY too much, we're talkin 16 hour days.

    You will burn out.

Take a break. You'll know you're ready to come back when you WANT to come back.

You definately should take a break. I went on tilt so bad in January, I didn't play again for a couple of weeks. I waited until I craved to play again. First SnG back I won!

I think you def need to take a break.I know I was burnt out during the summer playing so much(which comes to show how playing full time becomes quite the grind and nowhere near as fun).

Ya, def taking one..3 days with out poker so far...

But in the meantime do u think its wise to countine doing poker "stuff"
    such as reading FTR?

if you want to read FTR, read FTR. If you're sick of all things poker, your poker sense will not break if you don't think about it for two weeks.

Also you might try SNGs or MTTs or Limit or Lowball or whatever, spice it up.

Take some time doing zero poker stuff. Then take some time reading FTR or a poker book. Then review some of your hand histories if possible. Then return when you crave playing.

Give yourself some time. You will get the inner fire to play again. It's tough to break an addiction.

Play 23 hours a day and you'll get over it.

I just couldn't let 9 people say the same thing and not respond with the opposite.

seriously though, take a good long break.
