    Default Common Betting Patterns

    I've noticed a few lines that seem to always indicate an extremely stellar hand. Anyone else have any to add? They don't have to be for monsters only though. Any common lines are fine - monsters, bluffs, etc.

    1. When a player calls 2 bets cold - Example: SB bets pot, BB raises 3x, UTG calls

    2. When a player calls AND re-raises on the same street - Example: SB bets pot, BB calls, UTG raises 3x, SB folds, BB re-raises

    3. When a player check-raises a check-raiser - Example: SB checks, BB checks, UTG bets pot, SB raises 3x, BB re-raises

    How bout this for the most obvious set/hidden monster play;

    check/call -> check/minraise -> lead out or push

    Bets flop, check/raises turn usually means a very strong but not monster hand (like AA, TPTK, etc.).

    betting the flop, then betting the turn when it is an overcard to the flop, usually at least 2 pair.

    lol, I do that all the time when I have air.

    i do it sometimes with air as well, but usually only against certain players. i also find myself doing it with sets, straights, flushes, and 2 pairs far more often.

    i probably should have said "showing strength on the flop, then continuing to show strength when an overcard to the flop comes generally means that your opp wasnt playing TP."

    i've run into this A LOT. a player will minbet the flop, if he doesn't get raised he will assume opp doesn't have shit and will try to bluff it on the turn. usually i just raise them but i decided i could get more money out of them.

    Big draws will do this too, particularly from weaker players. I've seen guys I consider to be reasonable (didn't suck that bad) at the 100NL level even make this call with top pair so beware.

    Usually a monster, sometimes it's just GAMBLE! with a lukewarm hand or lots of outs.

    Once in a while this can be GAMBLE! too if the third guy just can't bring himself to fold something.
